Kankesanthurai Port or KKS Port, located in the northern region of Sri Lanka, is spread over an area of ​​16 acres and is 104 kilometers away from Karaikal Port in Puducherry. The direct passenger ship service connecting Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu to Kankesanthurai port near Jaffna covers a distance of 111 kilometers in about three and a half hours. “Considering the importance of this project, the Government of India has agreed to bear the entire estimated cost of the project,” the statement said.
