Usa: Indo-American Group Gave 100 Million Dollars For The Development Of Amritsar, Unique Initiative Of Nris

Overseas Indians have taken the first initiative for the development of Indian cities. Under this, he has announced to give 100 million US dollars for the startups of social and economic development of Amritsar.

In collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), a group of eminent Indian-Americans and Indians living in the US held their first meeting in the Maryland suburb of Washington. In which a committee will be formed for the development of Amritsar. 100 million US dollars will be given for this.

Former Indian Ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who has returned to Amritsar, has initiated it. Amritsar is developing as an attractive tourist destination. Sandhu joined BJP from Amritsar on his return to India after retirement. Not only this, he also became the Lok Sabha candidate here. He also organized a conference of eminent members of the Indian diaspora in the city. Eminent Indian-Americans of America participated in this conference. US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Chairman Mukesh Aghi came to America. This conference was co-hosted with FICCI.

Once again a meeting was held on this topic in Washington, Maryland. In which the formation of Amritsar Initiative developed under the chairmanship of Indian American Sanjeev Lakhanpal of Amritsar was announced. Mukesh Aghi said that its objective is to provide advice to entrepreneurs in Amritsar and make their startups socially successful. He said that Amritsar has collected about a hundred million dollars to invest in startups. There are more than 250 applications that will be reviewed and selected. So that more startups create more jobs in Amritsar.

He said that these startups could be in the fields of farming and agriculture, industry and commerce, skill development, information technology, health care, tourism and home construction. My group will invest up to US$100 million in startups in Amritsar. Sanjeev Lakhanlal, founder of Vikas Amritsar Initiative, said that we have a partner like Ambassador Taranjit in Amritsar on whom we can trust as we are putting our resources and efforts in Amritsar. Sandhu said that the scope of Amritsar’s connectivity and all-round development is huge.
