After Team India became the champion, Rahul Dravid said in the dressing room, “Thank you everyone for making me a part of this wonderful memory. You all will remember this moment. It is not about runs or wickets. You will remember your career. I won’t, but I couldn’t be more proud of you all, the way you fought, the way we worked as a team. , where we came close but couldn’t cross the line.”
He further said, “What these boys did, what you guys did, what the support stop did, the hard work we did, the sacrifice we made. The entire country is proud of all of you and what you achieved and you I think everyone made a lot of sacrifices to see their families enjoying this place. Think about all the sacrifices you made as a child. Your parents, your wife, your coach, your brother and many others made many sacrifices to enjoy this memory.
