PM Modi Russia Visit: prime minister of India Narendra Modi Left for a two-day trip to Russia. He will participate in the 22nd India-Russia Annual Conference in Russia. PM Modi is visiting Russia for the first time after the Ukraine war. Because of this, many meanings are being inferred from the trip, because at this time NATO summit is also being held in America. The whole world, especially the western countries, is keeping an eye on Modi’s visit to Russia. PM Modi will reach Russia by Monday (today) afternoon. At the same time, India’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement regarding the NATO summit in America. Said that Modi’s visit to Russia has nothing to do with NATO summit. Let us tell you that before this, PM Modi had gone to Russia in 2019. The last meeting between Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin was during the SCO summit in Uzbekistan.

On the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Modi will be in Moscow on July 8 and 9, after which he will go to Austria. These issues will be discussed with India
After the Ukraine war, America had imposed many sanctions on Russia. Even after this, India started buying crude oil from Russia. Trade between India and Russia has increased rapidly after the Ukraine war. In the financial year 2023-24, India had purchased crude oil worth Rs 45.4 lakh crore. In the financial year 2023-24, there was a trade of Rs 54 lakh crore between the two countries. India had exported only Rs 3.3 lakh crore to Russia. India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan said that the two leaders will discuss the issue of inequality in trade.

There will be talk on purchasing air defense system
India had signed a deal with Russia for S-400 air defense system in 2018. They were to be delivered in 2023, but it was delayed due to the Ukraine war. PM Modi can talk to Putin during this visit. At the same time, there can be talks on new trade routes between India and Russia to increase trade and reduce the costs involved in it. India has taken Iran’s Chabahar Port on lease for 10 years. Through this, India can negotiate to start new trade routes with Russia through Central Asia. With the help of this port, India can do direct trade with Iran, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe.

Manufacturing of Mango missile started
Russian defense company Rostec said that it has started work on manufacturing Mango missile in India. After the finalization of the deal, India’s military strength will increase. Rostec said that it is also planning for the production of gunpowder in India.
