To run the household, Vivek Oberoi focused on business, said – “My income from films has ended…”

New Delhi: Vivek Oberoi, who was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force. He recently revealed that he had started his business journey even before doing films and even today he is dependent on the same income. The actor said in ABP Live, I entered business before coming into films… At the age of 15, I started a small business because I came from a boarding school and my father gave me Rs 500 as pocket money. I came from a boys boarding school and saw some beautiful girls in a sweet college, whom I wanted to take on a date. I used to get Rs 500 a month, which I spent on a single date.

He said, my father scolded me a lot and asked me to spend money judiciously and be responsible. I was 15, my ego was very hurt and I told my mother, I don’t want father’s money. I will handle it myself. I stuck to it and didn’t take dad’s money. But I needed money to go to college, for tea and rickshaw. Then I started working by mistake, did a small voice gig, composed shows and started earning a little from there.”

He further said, I returned and became an actor. There was company, there was companionship. Life was good. But I wanted to start as an investor. However, I have now become an active businessman. It helped me. When I was struggling in Bollywood and when I started facing difficulties despite being a successful actor… when I was not being offered any film, there was a different kind of pressure. This was my source of income – I was running my house, charitable foundation and acting in films, events and making appearances with the money I earned from my business, I was also supporting my employees with the same. Used to pay.”

It is noteworthy that Vivek Oberoi, who was seen in Indian Police Fort with Siddharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty, is known for films like Omkara, Luck by Chance, Yuva and Kyu Ho Gaya Na.
