Tejas fighter jet production halted due to America is not supplying F404-IN20 engine for Tejas indian airforce

Tejas Fighter Jet: America is becoming a big obstacle for the Indian Air Force. The Indian Air Force is in great need of fighter jets at this time, but due to the arbitrariness of America, it is facing a lot of problems. Actually, India is making Tejas Mk-1A fighter jet faster, for this American engine F404-IN20 is to be installed. America is not delivering it. Due to this the production of Tejas has reduced considerably. America repeatedly makes the excuse of problems in the supply chain, but experts say something else. Actually, America has started doing its own thing due to increasing closeness of India with Russia. Recently also there was a report of Sputnik regarding this. According to the report, experts say that if there is a delay in its supply, India can also end the contract with America.

impact on air force
Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) still has to make 16 Tejas fighter jets, but engines are not available for them. Due to this the production has been halted. Now HAL said that it will deliver the first aircraft in November. The Air Force feels that it will get 8 Tejas in the financial year. Air Marshal (retd) M. Matheswaran says the delay in supply of American F404 engines will have an immediate impact on the Indian Air Force, as 6 squadrons of Tejas Mk1 and Tejas Mk1A are going to be inducted into service soon.

India is looking for options
At the same time, due to delay in supply of aircraft engines from America, HAL has started looking for alternatives. When the Tejas scheme was started, Russia had offered the Kaveri engine, but it did not happen. Experts say that partnership with Russia in this field will definitely be beneficial for India, as Tejas Mk1, Mk1A and Mk2 variants will replace the MiG-21, MiG-29 and Jaguar of the Indian Air Force in the future. These aircraft are being manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
