If you are going to make crisp and tasty Malpua at home, then you will need 3/4 cup mawa, half cup water chestnut flour, one cup sugar, one cup milk, 10 to 12 pistachios, 6 to 7 cardamoms and finally Ghee for frying Malpua.

How to prepare Malpua syrup

Preparing syrup for Malpua is not a very difficult task. To prepare this syrup, you will have to put a vessel on gas. After this, add sugar and half a cup of water and boil it. Now you have to check whether the syrup is ready or not by putting it between your fingers. If a string is forming between the fingers then your syrup is completely ready.

This is the easy way to make Malpua

  • First of all, you have to prepare a batter by mixing mawa, water chestnut flour and milk well.
  • Now leave this batter to swell for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • While it is swelling, you can chop the pistachios and prepare cardamom powder.
  • After this you will have to heat the ghee by putting the vessel in the gas.
  • When you feel that the ghee has become hot, then beat the batter well and pour it into the ghee with the help of a spoon.
  • Roast the Malpua until it turns light brown.
  • After this you will have to put this Malpua in sugar syrup.
  • Now you have to take out this Malpua in a plate and keep it.
  • Now you have to decorate the Malpua by adding pistachios.
