Bikaner. Stomach worms are a common problem. This problem is found especially in children. To deal with this, a campaign is being run in Rajasthan. In this, deworming medicine will be given free of cost to school and college students.
Special medicine will be given in Rajasthan to get rid of stomach worms. That too completely free. This medicine will be given free of cost to children studying in all schools, colleges, Anganwadi centres, madrassas, technical institutes and higher educational institutions. For this, National Deworming Day will be celebrated on 10th August. During this period, Albendazole medicine will be given to children and youth in the age group of 1 to 19 years. Additional District Collector (City) Umed Singh Ratnu instructed to make the preparations related to this on time and to give Albendazole medicine to every eligible person.
Medicine for children aged 1 to 19 years
Ratnu told that the district level program of Deworming Day will be organized in Lady Elgin School. Children who miss taking the medicine will be given Albendazole tablets on August 17. To make the campaign successful, instructions have been given to health, education, women and child development and other departments to work together. The District Nodal Officer has been asked to provide Albendazole tablets and distribute them on time.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Rajesh Gupta said that Asha workers will distribute this medicine to get rid of stomach worms in their area. A microplan has been prepared by making a list of children aged 1 to 5 years and adolescents aged 6 to 19 years who are not going to school in Anganwadi centres.
