Ranveer Shorey said, “I may have done serious and dramatic roles but I am always open to comedy offers. I am actually excited to play comedy roles. Thankfully, I have not been restricted to any kind of role.” And maybe that’s because I don’t take myself seriously as a serious actor.”
Ranveer said that his love for comedy had brought him into very funny situations. He was signed for Do Not Disturb (2009). Recalling David Dhawan’s pitch and the events that followed, Ranveer said, “After the success of Bheja Fry and my other comedy films, David Dhawan contacted me. He told me that I was a great actor and that I should do his film. He was going to bring Govinda back in the film and because of the way he offered me this film, I said yes to it.
However, finally I came to know that in 90 percent of the film, I will be seen in the role of a dead body of a boy. Ranveer Shorey also talked about his life after the reality show Bigg Boss. He revealed how he was ‘happy’ with the regular shoots and promotions, “If I had known that it was going to release now then maybe I wouldn’t have joined Bigg Boss. As I said in the show, I was in the reality show because Nothing was happening. All the projects I had shot were waiting for release.”
