West Indies vs South Africa: A series of three T20 International matches will be played between West Indies and South Africa from August 24. West Indies has announced a 15-member team for this. Star all-rounder Andre Russell will be out of the T20 series. He has decided to take a break for rest and recovery. The 36-year-old star all-rounder had not taken any break for three consecutive months. Cricket West Indies Director of Cricket Miles Boscombe has confirmed that along with Russell, Jason Holder has also been rested for the recovery period.

He said, “Andre Russell had asked for a break for rest and recovery. Holder played five consecutive Tests against England and South Africa. During this period, both the players will work closely with the medical team of Cricket West Indies.

Additionally, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph will continue his break, opening batsman Brandon King, who suffered a side strain during the Super Eights clash against England, is not available to be fully fit.
