According to the information, on Friday (October 11) in the capital Dhaka, some miscreants threw petrol bombs at the Durga Puja pandal, causing a stampede. This incident is being reported from Tati Bazaar area of Old Dhaka.
A loud sound was heard after a petrol bomb was thrown in Tati Bazaar area of Dhaka. After this the attackers fled from the spot. A video related to the incident has been shared on the social media account named ‘Voice of Bangladesh Hindu’. In this, an injured person is shown being taken to the hospital. According to the information shared, the blast took place in the puja pavilion located at Tati Bazaar, where a grand puja was organised.

According to local media reports, a group of people claiming to be members of a cultural group wanted to sing at the JM Sen Hall in Chittagong city on Thursday evening. A member of the puja committee gave permission for this. Quoting eyewitnesses, it is reported that the group sang a secular song, but the other song was Islamic. This caused huge anger among the Hindu community.
Puja committee president Ashish Bhattacharya spoke to news agency ANI over phone. Regarding the matter, he told that we were busy welcoming guests. Some people started singing Islamic songs. The administration will take legal action against them. Police said they are investigating the incident.
