Dengue patient should not worry about platelets
Hapur CHC in-charge Dr. Dinesh Khatri said that in dengue the patient should not worry about platelets. Platelets keep increasing or decreasing in the body. It keeps going up and down even during common fever or typhoid. In such a situation, patients should not get platelets checked. Patients suffering from dengue should get their platelets checked only when the body is breaking down or there is pain in the joints or apart from this there is bleeding. Only then should the patient get his platelets checked.
Dengue patients should not make this mistake
Dr. Dinesh Khatri said that a patient suffering from dengue should not panic if it is confirmed, but should take precautions. Under no circumstances should the patient take medicine from the nearest medical store or quack. They should first go to a government or private hospital and get themselves checked and only then take any medicine. He told that the steroids given to dengue patients by quacks are anti-dengue. This pink colored pill, steroid medicine reduces the immunity power of the patients, due to which the effect of dengue dominates the patient. In such a situation, they should be cautious of such pills and medicines given by medical stores and quacks.
