Green peas- 1 cup
Flour- one cup
Green chilli – 2 chopped
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Onion- 1 chopped
Whole cumin – half teaspoon
Ginger – one piece grated
Garlic- 2-3 cloves
Lemon juice- half teaspoon
Garam masala- half teaspoon
Coriander powder- half teaspoon
Refined oil – for frying parathas
salt-as per taste
Peas Paratha Recipe
Add some salt and half teaspoon oil to the flour and knead it well and soft. Cover it and leave it for 10 minutes. Peel the peas, put them in water and boil for 5-7 minutes. This will make them soft. Filter the water through a strainer. Put peas and green chillies in a mixer and grind them coarsely. Put the pan on the gas stove. Add oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds to it. When cumin seeds crackle, add chopped onion, ginger and garlic and fry. After frying for two to three minutes, add ground peas and all the spices like coriander and garam masala powder, lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix well. Make small balls of dough, fill them with pea mixture and roll them in the shape of round paratha. Exactly the same way you stuff potato paratha. Place the pan on the stove. When it becomes hot, put the rolled raw paratha on the pan. Turn and cook on both sides. Then add oil and bake well until it turns golden brown. Delicious Matar Parathas are ready.
