Ingredients for making gram flour barfi

1 bowl- gram flour

1 bowl- sugar
1 bowl- desi ghee
Half bowl- Mawa
4 tbsp milk
1 tsp cardamom powder
some chopped dry fruits

Recipe to make gram flour barfi

  1. To make delicious gram flour barfi, first sift the gram flour through a thick strainer in a vessel.
  2. Now mix milk and 2 spoons of desi ghee and then spread it in gram flour and mix.
  3. Now mix the gram flour mixture well by mashing it with hands.
  4. You have to mix it until the lumps visible in the gram flour disappear.
  5. Now put ghee in the pan and add gram flour after filtering it.
  6. Roast the gram flour on low flame until it becomes light pink or fragrant.
  7. After roasting, the color of gram flour will change and add mawa to it.
  8. Turn off the gas and let the gram flour cool slightly in the pan.
  9. Now put half a cup of water and sugar in a pan and keep it aside to make syrup.
  10. Mix cardamom powder in the syrup and turn off the gas when it becomes thick.
  11. Now add the syrup slowly and mix the mixture well.
  12. When you feel that the mixture has reached the stage of solidification, turn off the gas.
  13. Apply some ghee in a tray and spread the entire mixture a little thickly.
  14. Add chopped cashews and almonds on top and leave it to freeze.
  15. When it cools down a bit, cut it into the shape of barfi and serve it to the guests.
