If we look at the release and retention rule list, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has released the most players from its team. The team has released 12 players. While Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have released 11-11 players from their team. After that, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) have released 8 players each. Whereas Rajasthan excluded 9 players, Hyderabad 6 and Punjab 5 players.

After so many changes, now cricket fans are very curious to know how much money is left in the purse of which IPL franchise. So if we focus on the purse, it appears that Gujarat team has the most money left in its purse. Gujarat is left with Rs 38.15 crore. That means this team can spend the most money in the auction. The team has to buy 8 players in the auction. Whereas Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has the least money. The team is left with only Rs 13.15 crore. The team has to buy 6 players in the auction.
