A gun-wielding attacker entered a house and opened fire indiscriminately in northwestern Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday. During this, nine members of the same family died. The incident took place in Batkhela tehsil of Malakand district, police said. The assailant shot dead nine members of a family, including three women and six men.
After getting the information, the local levies force reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Batkhela Hospital for postmortem. According to the police, a marriage dispute was the reason behind the brutal murder and investigation has been launched. Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan has directed the police to intensify efforts to arrest the accused. He told that the accused would be brought to book. Justice will be given to the victim’s family.
