Lausanne (Switzerland). Olympic champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra clinched his second successive podium finish of the season in a star-studded field at the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League on Saturday.
In his fifth attempt, Neeraj threw the javelin 87.66m to take an edge over the others, reported Mid-Day. Julian Weber of Germany could throw only 87.03 meters in the last attempt.
Chopra started with a foul throw on her first attempt. He threw the javelin 83.52 meters in the second attempt.
The 25-year-old Indian superstar started the Diamond League season on a high with a top podium finish with a career-best fourth throw of 88.67m in Doha on May 5. (IANS)
