Weight can be reduced by using both tomato soup and capsicum mixed with bottle gourd in soup.

Ingredients to make Lauki Soup

  • 5 cups bottle gourd (cut into pieces)

  • 2 tomatoes (cut into two halves)
  • 1-2 onions (cut into two parts)
  • 1 capsicum (cut into two)
  • 1 tsp olive oil/vegetarian oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon (or more) black pepper powder

Bottle gourd soup recipe

Add bottle gourd, onion, tomato and capsicum in pressure cooker and wait for 1-2 whistles. Release the pressure and put all these boiled vegetables in a blender and prepare a smooth and creamy paste. Pour olive oil/veg oil in a pan and add cumin seeds for tadka. Add the bottle gourd paste to the pan and cook everything together for one to two minutes. Sprinkle it with a little salt and pepper and serve.
