Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s personal life has been a topic of discussion since the couple announced their separation four days ahead of their fourth wedding anniversary. While the main reason for their divorce was not known, both the actors tagged the decision to be mutual. As of now, Chaitanya has been engaged to Sobhita. Well, a few days later, his and Samantha’s divorce again created a buzz as a politician claimed that the split was caused by political influence.
Nagarjuna bashes Konda Surekha for only apologizing to Samantha and not to him and his family members
Nagarjuna had earlier filed a defamation lawsuit against the politician, Konda Surekha, for her comments on Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s split. In an interview with Times Now, Nagarjuna revealed that they are in the process of lodging another lawsuit. The actor further added how the politician is now taking back her remarks and had apologized only to Samantha and not to their family. In Nagarjuna’s words:
“We filed a criminal defamation case yesterday. We are in the process of filing another Rs 100-crore defamation lawsuit against her. Her outrageous comments cannot be allowed to slide under the crack. She now says she is withdrawing her remarks. She has apparently Apologized to Samantha. What about my family? Not a word of apology to me and to my family!”
Nagarjuna is in no mood to withdraw the defamation lawsuit against Konda Surekha
In the same interview, Nagarjuna was asked if an apology from the politician towards them would make him and his family withdraw the lawsuit. To this, Nagarjuna said that they won’t withdraw the lawsuit, as the entertainment industry has been a soft target for political gain, and by this step, an example would be set out there. Nagarjuna can be quoted as saying:
“No. Not at all. This is no longer personal. The slander has gone far beyond just me and my family. The support we’ve received from the biggest to the smallest of names in the Telugu industry has made me realize we are in The process of rot that has seeped into the core of our system won’t be soft targets anymore. Our legal action against the lady will caution other politicians from using our names in a slanderous way.”
Konda Surekha apologized to Samantha Ruth Prabhu after she lashed out at her for sharing misinformation about her divorce
For the unversed, Telangana cabinet minister, Konda Surekha, in one of her statements revealed that KT Rama Rao’s influence caused a rift in the Akkineni family. and it led to Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s split. Soon after the same, Samantha released a statement and hit back at her.
In her statement, Samantha added that her journey had been long in the industry, wherein she fought constant battles such as standing still despite falling in love and falling out of it, and surviving in the glamor world. She asked the politician not to make her journey look trivial. The actress also mentioned that her and Chaitanya’s divorce was a private matter and the decision was made on mutual consent. She further slammed the politician for talking about someone’s personal life.
After Samantha slammed Konda Surekha, several famous stars have come in support of the former. Well, after that Surekha took to her X account, and clarified her statement. She revealed that whatever she had said was just to question a leader’s belittling of women, and nothing more than that. Surekha also apologized to Samantha’s fans if she had hurt their sentiments, and added that the actress’ journey has been ideal for her as well.
