Be careful while taking morning walk in changing weather, there is a risk of brain hemorrhage to heart attack.

Udhav Krishna, Patna. Even before the onset of cold weather, cases of brain hemorrhage have started coming to hospitals. If we talk about the last three-four days, 15 patients suffering from brain hemorrhage have been admitted to the famous IGIMS (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Out of which 12 are above 60 years of age. Whereas, the age of 3 patients is less than 60 years. All these patients have been admitted to ICU.

Negligence in cold became the cause of haemorrhage
Deputy Director cum Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Manish Mandal said that all these patients were brought in emergency in critical condition. Out of which, most of the people have become victims of brain hemorrhage due to huge fluctuations in BP and carelessness in cold. More than half of the patients were suffering from cold due to low temperature of AC. Whereas, four people fell victim to it during their morning walk between 4 am and 5 am.

BP patients will have to take special precautions
Superintendent Dr. Manish Mandal also said that there are considerable fluctuations in temperature in the morning, afternoon and night. Due to this, the body finds it difficult to maintain balance. In such a situation, BP patients have to take special precautions.

On the other hand, he also said that ‘It has now been proved that people suffering from Corona have the problem of shrinking of veins’. In such a situation, the risk of heart attack and brain hemorrhage in BP patients is slightly higher than that of normal people. Let us tell you that four of the admitted patients also have a history of suffering from corona.

Crowd of dengue and viral patients
In the OPD of PMCH and IGIMS, a huge crowd of patients gathered at the registration counter since morning. Due to new software in IGIMS, it was taking more time at the counter. Hospital Superintendent Manish Mandal said that most of them were patients of viral fever, dengue etc.
