Singapore: As Covid-19 cases are continuously increasing in Singapore, the country’s Health Ministry has appealed to people to wear masks in crowded places. The ministry said on Friday that from December 3 to 9, Covid-19 cases increased to 56,043, from 32,035 last week, thus increasing the number of infections by 75 percent.
350 new cases of corona every day
According to a report by Channel News Asia, the average daily number of people hospitalized due to infection increased from 225 to 350. The average daily cases in the intensive care unit have increased from four to nine. Most of these cases of infection are of the JN.1 variant, which is a sublineage of BA.2.86.
Do not leave the corona infected house
The ministry appealed to people to discharge personal and social responsibilities and said that people who have symptoms of respiratory infection should not leave their homes and should not come in contact with people. The ministry also said that people traveling should wear masks at airports, get travel insurance and avoid visiting places where there is no proper ventilation.
