To make Vrat Wale Dhokla, first of all take a bowl. Now add samak rice flour, ginger-green chilli paste, rock salt, curd, water and oil to it. Beat it well and make a smooth batter. Now cover it for 10-15 minutes and keep it aside.
Prepare a steamer by filling a vessel with water and placing a steaming plate or mold on it and grease the mold with oil. After 10-15 minutes add Eno to the batter and mix well in one direction slowly. When the batter becomes frothy, pour it into the oiled mold and spread it evenly throughout the mold.
Place the mold in the steamer and cover with a lid. Cook it for about 15-20 minutes, now check with a toothpick or spoon whether the dhokla is cooked or not, if your toothpick or spoon comes out clean when inserted into the dhokla, it means the dhokla is cooked.
Now take it out of the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
When the Dhokla mold cools down, cut it into desired shape.
Pour oil in a pan and after the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds to it.
After this add curry leaves to it. If you want, you can also add dry red chillies in the tempering.
Pour the tempering over the cut dhokla pieces and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
Your fasting dhokla is ready, serve it with green chutney or sweet chutney.
