During the rainy season, waterlogging causes mud and garbage. Due to its foul smell and rot, many types of diseases develop in chickens. Therefore, veterinary specialist Dr. Vipin of Agricultural Science Center, Khodavandpur is telling ways to avoid such situations.

Take these precautions in the rain
Veterinary specialist Dr. Vipin Kumar said that during poultry farming, main attention has to be paid to house management. Farmers should hang their poultry farms three to four feet above the ground. Due to this, the possibility of water getting into the form during rainy days will be negligible.
-It is very important to ensure that there is no moisture inside the poultry farm. If there is moisture the hens will fall ill.
-Infection also spreads through mosquitoes and flies. Their number increases greatly during the rainy season. Chickens can also fall ill due to their bites. Therefore, to protect them from mosquitoes and flies, put a plastic sheet or curtain in the chicken coop.

keep chickens in a dry place
Veterinary specialist Dr. Vipin advises not to keep chickens in a humid place. Chickens will be safe in a dry place. Apart from this, the risk of getting infected by bacteria and viruses increases during the rainy season. Vaccination is necessary to protect chickens from diseases. Vaccination is done depending on which breed the hen is.
