Ingredients to make Gulab Jamun from Semolina:

  • 1 cup full cream milk
  • 500 grams sugar
  • half cup fine semolina
  • 1 spoon desi ghee
  • half teaspoon cardamom powder

Recipe to make Gulab Jamun with Semolina:

step 1- First of all prepare the syrup for gulab jamun. For this, take 3 cups of water and heat it. Now add all the sugar in it and make syrup by stirring the sugar on medium flame. When sugar melts, cover for 5 minutes and prepare syrup. Also add half cardamom powder to it.

Step 2- Now if you want to make dough for Gulab Jamun, take a pan and keep it on the gas. When the pan becomes hot, add ghee in it. After the ghee melts, add milk to it and let it boil. Milk should be double the amount of semolina you are taking.

Step 3- Now when the milk starts boiling, add semolina little by little and keep stirring continuously. Keep stirring it continuously otherwise lumps may form in it. Keep stirring the semolina and milk until it becomes like thick dough or mawa.

Step 4- Now take out the dough from the pan and let it cool slightly and add cardamom powder to it. Rub the dough with your hands only when it is still slightly warm. Make balls from the prepared dough and knead them with hands and make them round and shape like Gulab Jamun. Keep in mind that the Gulab Jamun dough should not be made too hard.

Step 5- Now put oil in a pan and keep the gas flame medium low. Put the prepared gulab jamuns in the pan and do not turn them immediately. When the gulab jamuns become lightly fried from below, turn them and fry until they turn golden.

Step 6- Take out the Gulab Jamun and put the Gulab Jamun made from semolina in the prepared syrup. Cover them in syrup for 10 minutes and then take them out and serve. You can garnish them with pistachios. Delicious homemade Gulab Jamuns are ready which are also very soft.
