Ingredients for making Sabudana Khichdi
Sabudana- 1 cup
Potato- 1 boiled
Peanuts- half cup
Dry coconut – 2 tbsp
Cumin – half teaspoon
Green chilli – 2 chopped
Curry leaves- 4-5
Garam masala powder- half teaspoon
Turmeric powder- half teaspoon
Lemon juice- 1 tablespoon
Salt – as per taste
Sugar- 1 teaspoon
Refined oil- 2 teaspoons
Coriander leaves – finely chopped
Water- as per requirement

How to make Sabudana Khichdi

To make sago khichdi, first soak the sago in a bowl by adding two cups of water. Start the process of making Khichdi only after an hour. After soaking in water the sago will become soft. If water is left, filter it through a strainer. – Place a pan on the gas stove and add oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds and curry leaves and fry for a few seconds. – Now add sago in it and stir. – Then add turmeric and salt. Mixture. Keep the flame low otherwise the sago may stick to the pan. When the sago starts appearing transparent, add chopped boiled potatoes to it. Lightly roast the peanuts and coarsely grind them. Also add dry coconut, garam masala, sugar and lemon juice. Mix these ingredients well on low flame. – After cooking for two to four minutes, turn off the gas. – Take it out in a bowl. Garnish it with chopped green coriander and enjoy hot food during the fast.
