Mumbai: Hon’ble Shri Sudhir Sachchidananda Mungantiwar, Cabinet Minister of Forest, Cultural Affairs and Fisheries, Government of Maharashtra, announced the organization of Tadoba Mahotsav during 1st to 3rd March, 2024 in the tiger capital Chandrapur. On this occasion, the 71st Miss World team supported the ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign of the Government of Maharashtra. Mr Sudhir Mungantiwar invited the Miss World team and contestants to visit the Tadoba Festival next week and enjoy the Tadoba Safari. The grand finale of the 71st Miss World will take place on 9 March 2024 at Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai and will be live streamed on SonyLIV app.
Sudhir Mungantiwar said, there has been a significant increase in the number of tigers. This number was 3,890 in 2016, and is set to increase to 5,575 in 2023, with India and Nepal leading the way with double the figures, a testament to our collective dedication to conserving these magnificent big cats. Given the global impact of the Miss World team, hosting them is playing a vital role in driving the continued success of tiger conservation on a global scale, so that tigers can remain in the wild for generations to come.
