It is said about Bhaiya-Bahini Temple that this temple was built in ancient times during the Mughal rule. A brother was going from Kaimur to his in-laws house with his sister. Then the evil eye of the Mughal soldiers fell on their sister and their intentions got spoiled. Seeing the situation turning upside down, both the brothers and sisters got scared. When the brother saw that his sister’s honor was in danger, both of them prayed to God. While praying, the ground cracked and both the brothers and sisters got buried in it.
The news of brother and sister getting buried in the ground gradually spread throughout the village. A few days after the incident, two banyan trees emerged at that place. After this the Hindus built a temple at the same place. No picture or idol of God is worshiped in this particular temple. An earthen lump and a banyan tree are worshiped in the Bhaiya-Bahini temple.
