Bokaro’s Arjun selected in Jharkhand Under-16 cricket team, will participate in Vijay Merchant Trophy

Bokaro’s young cricketer Arjun has been selected for the Jharkhand Under-16 team for the Vijay Merchant Trophy organized by BCCI. This selection has been made by JSCA Cricket Academy. Young cricketer Arjun told that he has had a keen interest in cricket since childhood. Sachin considers Tendulkar and Australian bowler Shane Warne as his ideals. Seeing him playing on TV piqued his interest.

Arjun told that Chira Chas started his initial training by staying at his uncle Vijay’s residence. After that, he learned the intricacies of the cricket game from coach Rajendra of Durga Cricket Academy, Chas. Now as an all-rounder, along with batting with his right hand, he also bowls leg spin. Told that his dream is to play cricket for the Indian team one day. Arjun has given the credit of success to his parents and coach.

While giving information about family background, Arjun told that his father Suvendu Priyadarshi works as the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Deepatoli Ranchi. Whereas mother Namita is a housewife. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the family due to Arjun’s selection. Jharkhand will play its first match in Vijay Merchant Trophy with Gujarat team on 1 December.
