Delhi: 12-year-old boy dies in hospital, days after being beaten during a fight between students

Delhi A 12-year-old boy died in hospital, days after he was beaten up during a fight between students at a government school in Shastri Nagar area. It is being told that this matter is related to the beating of junior students by senior students. The incident took place on January 11 and the Class 6 student died during treatment on January 20. Rahul Sharma, father of the deceased, said that his son was attacked by his seniors in school and he suffered injuries on his leg.

Sharma said, “On January 11, when my son returned home from the government school, he was limping and in extreme pain. I asked him about the matter, but he remained silent. “We took him to a hospital where he was given some medicines and asked to take rest for a few days, but his condition deteriorated and then we took him to a hospital in Rohini.”

Sharma further told that he died during treatment in the hospital on January 20. “We don’t know why he was attacked. He wanted to join the armed forces. All his dreams were shattered.” When contacted, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Manoj Kumar Meena confirmed the incident and said, “We are conducting the postmortem through a board of doctors. Further legal action will be taken accordingly.”
