Akram says, ‘I have full hope that the Indian team will tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy next year. We have excellent facilities in Pakistan and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also renovating the stadiums. This will be a wonderful event.โ
Let us tell you that the Indian team wants to play all its matches in Dubai or Sri Lanka under the hybrid model. If this happens then this will not be a new icident. Earlier such matches have been held in Asia Cup.
According to the report, Indian players are not ready to go to Pakistan keeping security in mind. In fact, incidents of firing and explosions keep coming to light every day in the neighboring country. This is the reason why all the players are staying away from Pakistan tour.
India vs Pakistan match was to be played in Lahore
Recently the draft of Champions Trophy was submitted to ICC by PCB. It is being told that the board has also prepared the complete schedule for the upcoming tournament. The board is preparing to hold the match between India and Pakistan in Lahore.
If reports are to be believed, the match between the two teams was likely to be played on March 1, but the Blue Team’s refusal has dealt a big blow to the opposition team. Keeping the security issue in mind, PCB had made arrangements to have all India’s matches in Lahore.
