“If the Government of India…”, PCB put this big demand before BCCI regarding Champions Trophy.

PCB vs BCCI Champion’s Trophy 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board wants the BCCI to provide written evidence that the Indian government has refused to allow the team to go to Pakistan for next year’s Champions Trophy due to security reasons. A source from PCB (PCB Demand Written Letter From BCCI) said this. The host board wants the matter to be resolved quickly as the tournament is to be held in February-March next year. ICC’s annual conference will be held in Colombo on July 19 in which discussion on ‘hybrid model’ is not on the agenda. Under this, the Indian team will play its matches in UAE.

A PCB source said, “If the Government of India has not given permission then it will have to be given in writing and the BCCI should give that letter to the ICC immediately.” Inform the ICC in writing six months in advance about the team going to Pakistan for the tournament. BCCI has always said that the decision to play in Pakistan will be the government’s and India’s matches in the 2023 ODI Asia Cup will also be played on the hybrid model. Were played in Sri Lanka.

PCB has submitted the draft of the Champions Trophy schedule to ICC in which all India’s matches, semi-finals and final will be held in Lahore. The match between India and Pakistan is to be held on March 1 (IND vs PAK ICC Champion’s Trophy 2025). The tournament will start on February 19 in Karachi and the final will be held in Lahore on March 9. There will be one day of reserve in the finals. If BCCI sources are to be believed, the team is not going to go to Pakistan and in such a situation the ICC management can allocate additional budget.
