Ranchi: The JSCA Stadium of Ranchi, the city of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will once again be buzzing with international cricketers. The fourth match of the five-Test series between India and England will be played here from 23 February. JSCA’s preparations for the match which will continue till 27th February are in the final stages. The teams of India and England will reach Ranchi on Tuesday. Players of both the teams will reach Ranchi by chartered plane at around 3:00 pm. Players will be taken to Hotel Radiance Blue from the airport. Both teams will practice in separate sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

India’s record in Ranchi has been excellent

The Indian team has played two test matches so far at JSCA Stadium Ranchi. In the Test match played against South Africa in October 2019, India won by an innings and 202 runs. At the same time, the match played against Australia in 2017 was a draw.

Indian cricketers have scored four centuries

JSCA Stadium has been lucky for Indian cricketers. India has scored four centuries in the two Test matches played here. Rohit Sharma (212) and Cheteshwar Pujara (202) have scored double centuries here. At the same time, Ajinkya Rahane (115) and Wriddhiman Saha (117) also have centuries in their names. Among foreign players, Steve Smith (178*) and Glenn Maxwell (104) have scored centuries here.

Sale of tickets for the match will start from Tuesday. Spectators will be able to buy tickets from the counter near the west gate of JSCA Stadium. Tickets will be sold from the counter from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, then from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
