Jack Leach Ruled Out Of The Second Test Against India, Confirms Ben Stokes

The second match of the five-Test series between India and England is to be played in Visakhapatnam and before this match, England has suffered a big setback. Jack Leach, the most experienced spinner of the England team that toured India, has been ruled out of the Visakhapatnam Test. Let us tell you, in the first match of the series held in Hyderabad, India had to face defeat by 28 runs. In such a situation, the fans of Team India will hope for the comeback of the Indian team in the second match. On the other hand, Brendon McCullum has made it clear before the second Test that in Visakhapatnam the team will not hesitate to go with a complete spin attack.

The most experienced spinner in the team that England has announced for the five Test matches is Jack Leach. The left-arm spinner, who injured his left knee twice in the outfield while fielding and then aggravated the injury by bowling in the fourth innings, has not bowled in the practice session in Visakhapatnam two days before the Test match. Jack Leach was seen limping and receiving treatment on the sidelines of an England practice session.

England captain Ben Stokes has also confirmed that Jack Leach has been ruled out of the second match of the series. England were hoping the injury would heal and Leach would be available for the second Test starting in Visakhapatnam on Friday, but captain Ben Stokes revealed the 32-year-old will be forced to sit out.

However, England now have off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, who arrived in India late due to visa issues and was consequently unavailable for selection in Hyderabad. England has not announced its playing eleven for the second Test and it is believed that young uncapped off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is the frontrunner to replace Leach. McCullum has talked about Bashir influencing the management during the team camp in UAE.

Jack Crawley said of Bashir, “He’s a great kid, there’s a lot about him. He knows what he’s trying to do with his bowling, and he backs himself up. I love that.” I like it and I think if he gets a chance in this series, he will perform well.
