Lance Klusener LSG Assistant Coach: The bugle for the next season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2024 has been sounded. The first match of IPL 2024 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 22 March. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants have made a big change in their team.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has appointed former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener as its assistant coach for the upcoming season of IPL. He was joined by head coach Justin Langer and fellow assistant coach S. Will work together with Shri Ram.
Lucknow Super Giants team joined the Indian Premier League in the year 2022. Both years the team qualified for the playoffs, but has not been able to win the title yet. Both times the team was eliminated in the eliminator. Let us tell you that Lance Klusener is also the head coach of LSG’s South African franchise, Durban Super Giants.
Lance Klusener, 52, a legend of his time, has coached many teams around the world, including working as a consultant coach for the domestic teams of Delhi and Tripura. Apart from being associated with Delhi Capitals, he has been the batting coach of Mumbai Indians.
Guyana Amazon Warriors won their first title in the Caribbean Premier League last year under his coach. At the international level, apart from being the batting coach of South Africa and Zimbabwe, he has been the head coach of Afghanistan. Klusener played 49 Tests and 171 ODI matches for South Africa between 1996 and 2004.
The Lucknow team will start its campaign in IPL 2024 on March 24 against 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. According to the schedule till now, Lucknow team will play two matches at its home. The first match will be against Punjab Kings on March 30 and the second match will be against Gujarat Titans on April 7.
