“Our entire team is against Sachin…”, former Pakistan captain made a big revelation about Wasim Akram

New Delhi: There was a time when India-Pakistan rivalry was at its peak. From the eighties to the nineties, a different kind of energy was created regarding the competition between the two countries. Ali said that in that era there were many great cricketers including captain Azharuddin. Sachin Tendulkar used to be a top order batsman and I was a middle order batsman. In such situations, we used to watch Sachin’s batting. The former captain said that in our team meetings, the then captain Wasim Akram used to say everywhere, “Get Sachin out, we will win the match.” Be it the practice field or the dinner table, Akram’s tone remained the same.

Rashid said in the video, ‘And as soon as Sachin was out, Pakistan used to win the match. Although the great Azharuddin lived on the pitch, we were not afraid of Azhar. But definitely there was fear of Sachin among our players.
