‘Pak’ cricket team reached Australia tour without doctor, manager of Under-19 team missing

Karachi: The senior Pakistan team that went to Australia does not have a doctor due to visa and passport issues, while the Under-19 team has reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without a team manager. Sohail Saleem was appointed the official team doctor for the Australia and New Zealand tour but he has not been able to join the team yet.

Reliable sources of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said, “Pakistan Cricket Board is currently trying to get a visa for Dr. Saleem. Immediately after getting the visa, he will join the team for the first Test match to be held in Perth.”

He said that similarly, former Test batsman Shoaib Mohammad was appointed the manager of Pakistan’s junior team participating in the Asia Cup in UAE but he too could not go with the team. Sources said, “Shoaib’s passport had expired and the board is trying to resolve it.” Hopefully he will join the team in UAE soon.” Not only this, off-spinner Sajid Khan, who was selected in the Pakistan team in place of Abrar Ahmed, has also not been able to leave for Australia due to visa reasons.
