Paris Olympics Live: Nishant missed out on securing a medal
Despite leading the first two bouts, Indian boxer Nishant Dev crashed out of the men’s 71kg quarterfinals at the Paris Olympics after losing to Mexico’s Marco. In this match, World Championship bronze medalist Nishant made a good start but had to face defeat by 1-4 on the basis of split decision. He had to win this match to ensure the medal. Paris Olympics Live: Nishant Dev’s competition will start in some time

Paris Olympics Live: Maheshwari in race to make final in women’s skeet
Indian shooter Maheshwari Chauhan remains in the race to make the finals with her eighth position on the first day of qualification of the women’s skeet event. Maheshwari, who scored a total of 71 points from 23, 24 and 24 points in three series of 25-25 shots, is ranked eighth after the first day’s qualification round and remains in the race to make the final among the top six shooters. Reza Dhillon, another Indian participating in this event, is at 25th position among 29 shooters by scoring 66 points from 21, 22 and 23 points.

Paris Olympics Live: Naruka finished 24th in men’s skeet qualification
Indian shooter Anantjit Singh Naruka failed to make it to the finals of the men’s skeet event of the Paris Olympic Games in a disappointing performance on the second day of qualification. Ananthjeet finished 24th among 30 shooters by scoring a total of 116 points in five series of 25-25 shots – 23, 22, 23, 24, 24. The top six shooters made it to the finals.

Despite taking the lead in the last eight i.e. quarter final match, Deepika had to face defeat. Deepika had won the first set 28-26, while Korea’s Su Yeon defeated Deepika 28-25 in the second set. After this, Deepika won the third set by a margin of 29-28, while Su Yeon made a comeback in the fourth set and won the set by 29-27 and leveled the score at 4-4. Deepika lagged behind in the deciding set and Su Yeon won the set by 29-27 and defeated Deepika by a margin of 6-4. In this way Deepika’s journey ended in the quarter finals itself.
