ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Latest Update: The matter regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy is getting worse. BCCI has told ICC that Team India will not go to Pakistan under any circumstances. Still, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is adamant on hosting the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Although BCCI has offered hybrid model, but Pakistan is not ready for it.
According to a report published in a reputed newspaper of Pakistan, the PCB will clearly tell the ICC that in future, India and Pakistan should not be placed in the same group for any ICC tournament including the 2025 Champions Trophy. Unless India agrees to tour Pakistan, Pakistan does not want to play against India.
Earlier, news had come that PCB has written a letter to ICC, in which it has been clearly stated that whether Team India plays in the tournament or not, Pakistan will not give up hosting the Champions Trophy under any circumstances. It is also being said in a report that BCCI has not given any reason for sending its team across the border. Only after knowing the reason, PCB will consider finding a solution to this problem.
There was also news of snatching the hosting from Pakistan
It was claimed in a report that if PCB rejects the offer of hybrid model, then Pakistan will lose the hosting of 2025 Champions Trophy. In such a situation, the entire tournament will be held in South Africa. If PCB accepts the hybrid model then Team India will play its matches in Dubai.
Champions Trophy to be played from 19th February
