Sourav Ganguly Rinku Singh: Rinku Singh was not included in India’s 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, after which he has become a topic of discussion. Rinku was being seen as the main finisher for the T20 World Cup but he missed out on a place in the team. However, Rikun has been kept among the 4 reserve players selected for the tournament. Now former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said that he should not worry, this is the beginning of his career.
Sourav Ganguly said that the T20 World Cup is to be held in America and West Indies, where there may be slow wickets, which will be helpful for the spinners. Therefore the selectors wanted to include an extra spinner. For this reason perhaps Rinku could not get a chance. This is the beginning of Rinku Singh, he should not be disappointed due to not being selected in the team.”
Ganguly further said about the World Cup that India and Australia will dominate the T20 World Cup to be played from June, like they did during the ODI World Cup played in India last year. India and Australia are the two best teams of the tournament. I am sure he will do the same in America and West Indies also. This Indian team is fantastic. All matches are winners in this. All 15 members are eligible for selection in the team. I am confident that Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid will choose the best.”
Rinku Singh could not leave much impact in IPL 2024
Rinku Singh has not got a chance to bat much in IPL 2024. Whatever opportunities he has got, he has not been able to capitalize on them very well. So far, in 10 matches he has scored 132 runs at an average of 18.86 and strike rate of 146.76.
