Nigeria News: A very sad incident has come to light from Abuj, the capital of North Central Nigeria. 22 students have died in the collapse of a two-storey school in Abuj, while more than 100 students and teachers have been seriously injured. The accident occurred when classes were going on. It is being told that the injured and people trapped under the debris are being rescued and treated, but the death toll is still increasing. As soon as news of the accident was received, Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency, along with security forces, reached the spot and started rescuing people.

Actually, this incident took place at Saints Academy College in Busa Buji community of Plateau State. Shortly after the start of classes here, a two-storey school building collapsed and more than 22 children died. The age of all the children who died is said to be 15 years or less. Policemen said that a total of 154 students were trapped, out of which 132 have been rescued and all of them are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. The state Information Commissioner said in a statement that in order to provide medical care, the government has directed various hospitals to give priority to the treatment of those without documentation and payment.

Dozens of villagers gathered around the school at the incident site. The people present here were identifying their families. There was hue and cry everywhere. Somewhere the sound of screaming was heard, while some people were also seen asking for help. Policemen and rescue workers were trying to rescue the students from inside.
