4 deaths in Kerala-Karnataka due to COVID-19 JN.1 variant, 34 cases in Goa

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj On Monday, he said that on an average three to four new cases of Covid-19 are being reported every day in the national capital and the government is fully prepared to fight the possible spread of corona virus infection.

Till Sunday, 63 cases of Corona virus sub-form ‘JN.1 (COVID-19 JN.1 Variant)’ were reported in the country, out of which 34 cases were reported in Goa. Official sources gave this information on Monday. He said that 9 cases have been reported in Maharashtra, 8 in Karnataka, 6 in Kerala, 4 in Tamil Nadu and 2 in Telangana.

Saurabh Bhardwaj told reporters, ‘A meeting was held with the Center regarding the current situation of Covid-19 and we were told that cases are increasing more in southern states like Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. We are testing samples and on an average we are getting three to four new cases every day, which is less than one percent. We have conducted mock drills and made all necessary arrangements.

The Union Health Ministry said on Monday that 628 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in India and the number of patients under treatment is 4,054. According to the ministry’s data updated at 8 am on Monday, the death toll due to Covid-19 has reached 5,33,334.
