Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s petition will be heard in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, April 3. In his petition, Kejriwal has challenged his arrest and sending him to ED custody.
Earlier, during the hearing on March 27, the High Court had clearly refused to interfere in the ED’s arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. The High Court had said that this case has raised many important issues on which a decision cannot be taken ‘summarily’ without knowing the stand of the ED.
It is noteworthy that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21. Later, a Delhi court sent him to ED custody till March 28. Then after the appearance, the court sent him to custody till April 1. But after his appearance on April 1, the court sent him to Tihar Jail in judicial custody till April 15.
