Gunmen Storm TV Channel In Ecuador: In the Latin American country Ecuador, 13 people will be charged with terrorism who attacked a TV studio during live broadcast on Tuesday (January 9). The Ecuadorian government gave this information.

Earlier, Ecuador’s national police chief later announced that authorities had arrested all the masked infiltrators. Police commander Cesar Zapata told TV channel Teleamazonas that authorities had seized guns and explosives from the gunmen.

‘We will throw bombs’

According to AP report, 13 masked people with guns entered the set of TC Television Network in Ecuador’s port city Guayaquil on Tuesday. After this, he started threatening the people present on the set during the live TV show itself.

The armed people threatened that everyone should remain calm otherwise they will throw bombs. The gunmen also opened fire during the attack. This entire incident continued for at least 15 minutes during the live TV show. In the first minute, people did not understand what was happening? Everyone present on the set got scared.

TC Television chief’s ordeal
TC Television’s head of news, Alina Manrique, said she was in the control room in front of the studio when a group of masked men entered the building. Manrique said one of the men pointed a gun at his head and told him to sit on the floor. Till that time the incident was broadcast live, however after about 15 minutes the signal of the station was cut. However, during that time it was not known whether any station employee was injured or not.

“I’m still in shock,” Manrique told The Associated Press during a telephone interview. Everything is over. All I know is that now the time has come to leave this country and go far away. Apart from this, a very dangerous drug mafia, Jose Adolfo Macias (also known as Fito), escaped from the jail in Ecuador.

After this, 7 policemen were kidnapped last night, after which the entire country was shaken. Considering the situation in the country, President Daniel Noboa declared a national emergency on Monday. The President ordered that the prisons be guarded by the army. Apart from this, a decree was issued that 20 drug trafficking gangs operating in the country should be designated as terrorist groups. Ecuador’s military was given free rein to eliminate these groups within the limits of international humanitarian law.
