Mali Road Accident: A bus fell off a bridge in the African country Mali. More than 30 people have died in the accident, while 10 people are reported to be injured. This incident happened in Keniba area when a bus fell from the bridge over the river.
Regarding the incident, the Transport Ministry said that on Tuesday (February 27), 31 people died and 10 others were injured in Mali. This accident happened when a bus going towards Burkina Faso fell from a bridge located in the south-east of the country.
Road accidents happen every day in Mali
The ministry further said that the accident occurred at around 5 pm on the bridge crossing the Bago River. The ministry said that the probable reason behind the accident was the driver losing control of the vehicle. It is noteworthy that road accidents occur frequently in Mali. Many roads, highways and vehicles of the country are in bad condition.
Recently there was a collision between a bus and a truck.
Earlier this month, 15 people were killed and 46 injured when a bus headed to the capital Bamako collided with a truck in central Mali. Both the vehicles were going in opposite directions. Nearly a quarter of all road traffic deaths worldwide occur in Africa.
