New Delhi: The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas is not showing any sign of stopping. At present the world is divided into two different parts. Many countries are standing in support of Israel while many countries are in support of Hamas fighting on behalf of Palestine. Iran, which has been supporting Hamas since the beginning of the war, has this time appealed to the Indian government. Iranian President and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed the Israel-Hamas war.
During this, he told PM Modi that India should use “all its capabilities” to end Israeli action in Gaza Strip. Giving information in a press release on Tuesday, the Indian government said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi discussed the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The Iranian readout said Raisi discussed India’s struggles against Western colonialism and recalled India’s position as one of the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in the world.
“Today, India is expected to use all its capabilities to end Zionist crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza,” the Iranian readout said. According to the Iranian readout, Iranian President Raisi told PM Modi, “There is anger among the people of all free countries of the world due to the continuous killing of Palestinian people.”
The Iranian President also said that Tehran supports any global joint effort for an immediate ceasefire. He said that any step that provides assistance to the people of Gaza is welcome and encourages the lifting of the blockade. Raisi condemned Israel and alleged that innocent women and children were killed in airstrikes targeting hospitals, schools, mosques, churches and residential areas. He said that this action was “condemnable and unacceptable” from a humanitarian point of view.
