S Jaishankar Pakistan Visit: Pakistan is ready to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting to be held on Tuesday (15-16 October). In this, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is going to visit the neighboring country from India’s side. There is a lot of discussion in Pakistani media on this very special occasion. Especially in the present times, it is being considered important for an Indian leader to visit Pakistan. Many things are being said on this, in which it is being said that S. Jaishankar’s arrival is an attempt to balance the growing dominance of China with the neighboring countries.
Pakistan’s largest newspaper The Dawn writes that India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is coming to participate in the SCO summit. This is the first time in 10 years that an Indian Foreign Minister is coming to Pakistan. Earlier last year, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto had visited India to participate in the SCO meeting. Apart from this, while paying attention to the relations between India and China, the newspaper wrote that India is aware of China’s increasing influence in the SCO organization. Therefore, by joining at such a time, it wants to strengthen relations with Central Asian countries as well as keep an eye on China.
Statement of former Pakistani diplomat Abdul Basit
Another Pakistani media house Samaa TV said that we should not expect much from Foreign Minister S Jaishankar regarding relations between India and Pakistan. The reason for this is that Indian ministers take a tough stance towards Pakistan. However, on this issue, former Pakistani diplomat Abdul Basit says that from the beginning I did not think that India would not participate in the conference. The reason behind this is that India never wants to show that it looks at the SCO organization in the same way as it looks at Pakistan.
Who has reached Pakistan?
