But Russian President Putin will not be physically present. He has said to attend the conference through video conferencing.
The PMO said Modi had a telephonic conversation with Ramaphosa on Thursday during which the South African President invited the prime minister for the BRICS summit and also briefed him about the preparations for it. The Prime Minister then accepted the invitation and said that he looked forward to his visit to Johannesburg to participate in the summit.” During the talks, the two leaders positively assessed the progress in bilateral cooperation, including plans to establish bilateral diplomatic relations in 2023.
