Russia Vladimir Putin Has No One To Blame But Himself On Wagner Mutiny Leon Panetta US Official

Russia Rebellion: After the rebellion of the private army Wagner in Russia (RUSSIA), the world’s largest country, the deadlock between Western countries and Russia seems to be increasing. In particular, Russia has accused America (USA) of conspiracy. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western countries want Russians to get ready to kill each other. Putin said that he had given amnesty to Wagner fighters whose insurgency has presented the biggest challenge so far during his two decades of rule. At the same time, it has been said on behalf of America on the whole episode that we have nothing to do with the military rebellion in Russia.

Former US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has called the mutiny a lack of Putin’s leadership. Leon Panetta said Russian President Vladimir Putin has only himself to blame after facing a direct military challenge from Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin. According to Panetta, “before the two sides could make a deal, the Wagner Group’s troops mutinied against the Kremlin, and then Wagner’s chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin, agreed to leave the country in exchange for pulling his troops away from Moscow.” Now there are reports of those who have gone to Belarus.

Threat to Putin’s political stability
Let us tell you that the Wagner group is Russia’s private army, whose fighters are called mercenaries. Their number is now about 50 thousand, and the Wagner group came into existence about a decade ago. These soldiers had been fighting in Ukraine on the Russian side since February 2022, although in the same month Wagner’s soldiers mutinied against the Russian army. Russian leader Putin has maintained a low-profile during this turmoil, although some experts argue that the recent conflict may pose a threat to Putin’s political stability.

‘What happened in Russia was out of control’
Former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said, “Whenever there is chaos and instability, any leader has problems as a result, but especially dictators like Putin who … They believe that whatever is happening in Russia, they will control it. But, what happened there in the past shows that it was out of control. They had no control over it.”

‘Putin is paying the price’
Panetta said, “I think the bottom line here is that Putin is the one who’s paying the price for something he created. He’s the one who kept the Wagner Group together…they got Asia, Africa, Ukraine where they committed all kinds of atrocities. And then, when Prigozhin started speaking out and criticizing Putin as well as the Russian military, Putin didn’t really do anything to appease him. So Probably the bottom line is that what happened in Russia has no one to blame but Putin.
