South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae Myung attacked, stabbed on neck during press conference

South Korea’s opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was attacked with a knife on his neck. This attack happened when he was holding a press conference. According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, Lee Jae-myung was attacked on Tuesday (January 2, 2024) during a visit to the southern port city of Busan.

Jae-myung was visiting a proposed airport in Busan when an unknown man attacked him on the left side of the neck with a weapon during a press conference. According to Yonhap, the attacker was arrested on the spot.

According to the pictures shared by South Korean media, Lee Jae-myung is seen lying on the ground in an injured condition. A crowd was surrounding him, a handkerchief was placed around his neck to stop the bleeding.
