Two buses were washed away with debris after a landslide on a highway in Nepal. More than 60 passengers are missing after this accident. Seven Indian citizens are also said to be among the missing passengers. According to the police, the six Indians have been identified as Santosh Thakur, Surendra Sah, Adit Mian, Sunil, Shahnawaz Alam and Ansari. Another Indian victim of the accident is yet to be identified.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal gave this information on social media platform X. He said that the bus was swept away in a landslide on the Narayangarh-Muglin road section. There is news of about five dozen passengers going missing. I am deeply saddened by the loss of properties due to floods and landslides in various parts of the country. I have directed all agencies of the government including the Home Administration to search and effectively rescue the passengers.
